AWS re:Invent 2022 is happening!!! So many many announcements out and hoping for more to come. And I would like to call out AWS AppSync with JS resolvers and Lambda functions with NodeJS 18 along with Amazon Inspector supporting scanning of Lambda functions.

AJ Stuyvenberg writes about the AWS Lambda SnapStart where he talks about how it works and the different caveats around it. Johannes Koch also writes about AWS Lambda SnapStart would affect your cost with some calculations of how you can save. Johannes also describes how to enable SnapStart on your Lambda functions.

AWS SAM is now available in AWS Toolkits for JetBrains and VS Code and it also supports AWS Lambda SnapStart.
