In the previous issue, Aurora DSQL goes GA 🚀☁️ #79, which celebrated the DSQL going DA and the new MCP for AWS Serverless and Containers.
Amazon API Gateway announces support for dynamic routing when you have custom domain names mapped to the API Gateway, allowing you to setup routing rules
that give you the flexibility to define your conditions and actions as well as priority with the values from HTTP headers. This enables the development teams to define APIs for API versioning, A/B testing, and also makes the API spec easier to understand for the API consumers/developers.
Anton Aleksandrov and Giedrius Praspaliauskas also share about dynamically routing requests with API Gateway routing rules.
Welcoming the newest AWS Heroes - Christian Bonzelet, David Victoria, and Nora Schöner.
At AWS Summit Bengaluru 2025, a few of the Heroes - Bhuvaneswari , Vivek, Jones, and Ayyanar had a chat with Danish Sait, here is the complete video.
⭐ Pick of the month
This month’s Pick is “Event Driven Architecture (EDA)“.
Rajesh Kumar Pandey delves into sharing the design of resilient EDA systems at scale, where latency is not the primary challenge, but rather resilience and how failure retries, along with observability, are key considerations.
How to choose between EventBridge, SNS, and SQS for EDA patterns by Arpad Toth gives you a clear picture about the 3 EDA Services along with the patterns for fan-out or FIFO queues, along with considerations and cost comparison.
Jones Zachariah Noel N (Author) shares why observability matters for Event-Driven Architectures, bringing in challenges of EDA with AWS services and how metrics, specifically from SQS and SNS with New Relic integrations, help. And if you are still confused - What? Why? When? EDA
🚀 AWSome content to learn from

Anna Pastushko goes on to make trade-offs with API Gateway or ALB for your API, with a clear serverless/container approach, or if it’s a managed API, or if you need an endpoint with your compute managing the API routes.
Vadym Kazulkin, in a 5-part series, shares about Lambda performance benchmark, along with addressing Cold Starts with SnapStart for Java and how it affects DDB request or API Gateway request.
Marc Bowes brings out a detailed blog about Aurora DSQL: How to spend a dollar, which explains about DSQL pricing and how, across clusters, the pricing is affected for read and write, along with an example.
Kenta Goto digs into the use cases for lazy evaluation for AWS CDK with an overview of the Lazy feature class and how it’s used across multiple use-cases, and finally validating the values returned by Lazy.
Luc van Donkersgoed’s AWS New Feed uses end-to-end email testing with SES and SQS, bringing in the event-notification system powered with SQS and how to use SES for async emails.
Ricardo Cino’s blog Private AppSync with custom DNS takes a dig at the challenges with adding your custom DNS for AppSync and how you can resolve them with additional HTTP headers.
Lefteris Karageorgiou shares his take on Why AWS Step Functions is My Favourite Orchestration Service for Microservices, and how the advanced features like parallel execution and error handling make it THE BEST!
